The edifice destined to become the cinema and theatre of Casciana Terme, named after Giuseppe Verdi and created as a free-standing building next to the town hall, is one of the most historically important recreational and cultural structures in the entire municipality. Built in 1912 on the initiative of the Società Operaia del Mutuo Soccorso, it was designed by the engineer Federico Navarini and, after various events, became municipal property in 1985.
